Sometime you may hear the news of explosion of cell phone in certain places around the world (often in Asia).

Question!

Is it real or just a rumor?

I really didn't see this to happen before my eyes.

Lithium ION battery may explode.
If somehow inner materials come to air contact It will burn for sure.
so strong metallic coating is used to secure the battery.
But sometime to introduce cheaper, thinner,smarter phones developers (mainly ASIA) may use insecure jacket, also maybe for extending battery performance surface ratio may be decreased which may be exposed when the battery become hot for over charging of over activity. And the cellfuel come contact to OXYGEN.
And then BOOOOOOM................

So TRY to take care of your phone as well as battery.
Avoid over charging and Consider Changing your BATTERY while it get SWOLLEN.
